A video by the economist looks into what keeps Chinese LGBT in the closet.
The Economist explores why on three percent of gay men and six percent of gay women describe themselves as “completely” out and an estimated 70 percent of gay Chinese are in heterosexual marriages.
asians still don't feel comfortable in their own skin when being queers, i have a family that's very homophobic, it's just their mindset and they are too afraid to change things, or could it be their fucking stupid?
... or is it the white rice diet? white rice never gives much to the brain anyway, just adds too many calories and bloats you up
It's that difficult situation where most are afraid to come out, yet visibility is the biggest influence on promoting tolerance. It has been proven that attitudes change when you know someone personally who is LGBT. Not 100% of the time, but the great majority do.
Keep pushing forward, China.

I'm a relationship oriented guy. Versatile, HIV-, no drugs, no drama. Love to laugh. Live right on a lake and enjoy the water. Love to explore, and the DC area has lots of interesting things to see and do. Looking for a decent looking guy, 24 - 39, whose mind is working, has a decent sense of humor and some adventure in him. Someone who says what he means and means what he says.
